Installation/Fitting

We can provide a complete installation service.  The installation team will complete their work within half a day, leaving your hot tub tested and ready for you to enjoy.

Preparation work required prior to delivery

Base

A flat, level base is required for the hot tub. This can be:

./ A minimum 4-inch concrete base (concrete slabs are ok) ./ An existing patio area

./ Reinforced decking

The recommended size is the size of your hot tub.

Water

The normal way of filling the hot tub is by garden hose.

Power

Most Mistral hot tubs are run on either a 13-amp or 25-amp supply. We recommend that if your new hot tub is more than a 13-amp supply then a direct feed from your consumer box - with an isolator switch (RCD) - be used.

The power cable should be run out to where the hot tub is going to be placed with an extra 3-meter tail of cable loose to connect into the tub electrical control unit. We recommend that a qualified electrician carry out the necessary work!

If your new hot tub is a 13-amp supply then it can be run off a normal, waterproof, 13-amp plug socket. We recommend that an RCD adapter is used.

Access

As you're new hot tub is pre-built and packaged to enable us to deliver and commission. We will be using a dolly trolley with the tub placed on its side and manoeuvred to the prepared area. It is therefore vital that we have sufficient access! Please be aware of doorways, corners, gates, steps, drains, pipes, trees, branches, outside taps, roof eaves, steep slopes and protruding objects etc.

For measuring purposes; because your hub will be placed on its side, the height becomes the width and the width becomes the height. Please allow another 300mm on the height to accommodate the dolly trolley.

If delivery and commissioning has to be aborted due to insufficient access, there will be an extra charge to re-deliver and commission. If in doubt please contact us and we will be happy to carry out a free site survey.

If access is not sufficient, it has been known for tubs to be delivered through neighbour's gardens or to temporarily take down fence panels or gates etc. Failing this, a crane or HIAB should be arranged.
